Mission

The Museum of Medical History at the University of Mississippi Medical Center promotes a better understanding of the science and art of medicine through the collection, preservation, interpretation, and exhibition of relevant historical content. The museum focuses on the medical history of the American South generally, with special emphasis on UMMC as a leader in medical innovation, discovery, patient care, and bioscience education.
